Trust & privacy

Identity, privacy,
and permissions.

Sigil handles sign-in. You approve what an application receives, and each service sets its own access permissions.

01

Sigil authenticates the account.

Sign in with the methods available for your account. Manage passwords, passkeys, two-factor authentication, and linked sign-in providers under Authentication.

02

The application requests information.

Review the permissions an application requests. You can manage existing authorizations under App Permissions.

03

The organization endorses membership.

An attestation is a separate issuer’s statement about its member. The preview demonstrates its lifecycle; production signatures and status services remain to be connected.

04

The service decides access.

A familiar handle, a foil seal, or an officer mark does not by itself grant permissions. Services must validate the relevant identity and authority.
